PhD Student in Machine Learning & AI
I am a PhD student at the University of Alabama, focused on research in Machine Learning, Speech Recognition, and AI Ethics. My journey began with a passion for technology and a drive to solve real-world problems through data and AI.
My academic background spans Computer Science and AI, with hands-on experience in building robust ML pipelines, experimenting with advanced speech recognition models like Wav2Vec2 and Whisper, and improving fairness and transparency in AI systems.
Outside of my research, I enjoy reading non-fiction and prayer books, web programming, watching soccer, and exploring innovative solutions to make AI more accessible to underrepresented communities.
My research focuses on developing advanced speech recognition systems, with a strong emphasis on African language processing and bias mitigation in AI. I am particularly interested in multimodal learning, model interpretability, and enhancing the inclusivity of machine learning technologies for underrepresented communities.
